Dear Calvary Family,
We want to provide you with information on how we are handling our church services in light of this Coronavirus challenge. Our response to the threat is not based on fear, but on love and consideration for our church members and community, and respect for government authorities. We want to encourage you to pray and not panic; God is bigger than this virus and we will get through this challenge together.
Yesterday, Governor Newsome and San Diego Health Officials issued a directive that gatherings be limited to no more than 250 people through the end of March.
So, will the Church be meeting for worship services this weekend? Yes of course! In two ways:
First, all of our services fit under this directive of 250 or less people in attendance at our Saturday and both Sunday Morning services. So we are planning to meet as usual for worship and Bible study. We want to assure you that the facility, classrooms, kitchen, and the whole campus have been cleaned and we are following recommended precautions to ensure a healthy and safe church environment. Additionally, we are practicing common sense adjustments to our worship service, fellowship practices, and Children’s Ministry as a further precaution to minimize any risks.
Secondly, if however you are not planning to attend the service in person, we have you covered. Both Sunday services (8:30am and 10:30am) will be live-streamed and recorded to be enjoyed at home. Use this link directly to YouTube, or click on the “Live Stream” link from the ccsantee.com home page. The worship time, the sermon, updated information, and even online giving are all available on our website.
And, as a reminder, if you or your kids are not feeling well due to a cold or flu, it’s always the right thing to stay home and recover before you return to fellowship.
In Isaiah 41:10, the Lord says, “Fear not for I am with you.” Prayer, Trust in God, and common sense will see us through this season.
Your Brother and Pastor
